WHAT IS THE 241 TOLL ROAD? ——————————————————————

The Toll Roads sought approval to complete the 241 Toll Road (to connect to I-5 near San Clemente) from the U.S. Department of Commerce, following a decision by the California Coastal Commission to deny a coastal consistency certification for the project. The Department of Commerce rejected the route.

"The regional economy needs the 241" said Jerry Amante, Chairman of TCA. "The 241 wouldn't require the huge taxpayer costs associated with traditional road construction. It would alleviate traffic, facilitate goods movement and boost our local economy by providing jobs."

After the Department of Commerce decision, The Toll Roads began a new outreach effort to connect with stakeholders and find a traffic solution.
